How Timestral collects, uses, stores and deletes account data, uploaded CSV series, forecast results and payment records.

Who we are
Timestral is an independent time-series forecasting studio at timestral.org, built on the open Timestral model family. It is not affiliated with Mistral AI. You can contact us at contact@timestral.org.
What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the service:
- Account data — your email address, display name (if you provide one), authentication timestamps and the one-time codes used to sign in.
- Uploaded series — the CSV text you paste or upload, stored only as needed to run the forecast and show your task history.
- Forecast results — the median, quantile bands and CSV produced from your series, stored so you can download and delete them.
- Task data — horizon, column count, task status and the credits charged or refunded.
- Payment records — the plan or pack purchased, the amount, currency, provider and order status. Card data is handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data — page views, feature events and error logs used to operate and improve the service.
- Cookies — a session cookie for sign-in and, where enabled, analytics cookies. You can reject non-essential cookies from the cookie banner.
We do not collect your contacts, your address book, your precise location or biometric data.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account.
- To run the forecast you requested and show you the result.
- To charge the correct credits and refund failed calls.
- To send transactional email such as sign-in codes, receipts and forecast reports.
- To detect abuse, fraud and attempts to bypass the credit system.
- To understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded series to train a model. We do not publish your forecasts to a public feed.
Who we share it with
We share data only with processors that are necessary to run the service:
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, object storage and email delivery.
- Payment providers (for example Stripe or the payment layer used at checkout) — to process your payment and send us the order status.
- The model host — the CSV needed to run your forecast is sent to the model host (the public Hugging Face Space or a dedicated endpoint) so the forecast can run.
- Email providers — to deliver sign-in codes, receipts and forecast reports.
- Analytics — where enabled, aggregated usage data.
Each processor is bound by its own terms and, where required, a data processing agreement. We do not share more than the processor needs for the specific task.
International transfers
The service runs on Cloudflare’s global network, and the model host may process data in a different region. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
How long we keep it
- Account data — while your account is open, and for a short period after deletion where needed for legal, tax or fraud records.
- Uploaded series and forecast results — until you delete the item or your account, unless a shorter retention period is shown in the studio.
- Payment records — for the period required by tax and accounting law.
- Logs — for a limited operational period, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and its data from the settings page, or email contact@timestral.org. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Security
We use HTTPS, encrypted storage, hashed credentials and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 16. Do not upload personal data about children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The updated_at date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
