Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, buying credits or using the studio, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

Timestral is an independent time-series forecasting studio at timestral.org, built on the open Timestral model family. It is not affiliated with Mistral AI or with any other model vendor. The studio lets you submit a CSV series to a forecasting model and receive a probabilistic forecast.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep access to it.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or abuses the credit system.

4. Credits and pricing

• Credits are a prepaid unit used to pay for forecasts. They are not money, do not earn interest and are not redeemable for cash.
• The current price, credit grant and credit cost of each forecast are shown on the pricing page and in the studio before you run a forecast.
• One successful API forecast costs one credit. A failed forecast is refunded to the balance it came from.
• Monthly subscription credits are valid for the current billing month. Yearly subscription credits are valid for the current billing year. One-time pack credits do not expire.
• Credits from different sources are tracked separately. The earliest-expiring credits are spent first.
• We do not offer free credits that can pay for a forecast. The only ways to obtain credits are a purchase or a refund returned to the original source.

5. Payments and renewals

• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel future renewals from the billing page; cancellation does not clear credits already granted for the current period.
• Prices may change. A change does not retroactively alter a completed purchase.
• Taxes may be added where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• violate any law or regulation;
• upload data you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to re-identify individuals from uploaded data;
• bypass content moderation, credit limits or access controls;
• resell the service as a generic API without a written agreement;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt the service.

We may refuse or remove content that violates these rules and may report serious violations to the relevant authority.

7. Your inputs and outputs

• You keep the rights you hold in the CSV series you upload.
• You are responsible for having the right to use every series you upload, including any personal data in it.
• Subject to these terms and the model host’s terms, you may use the forecasts commercially.
• You may not claim that a forecast is a guarantee of future performance.

8. Model host

The service sends your CSV to a model host (the public Hugging Face Space or a dedicated endpoint). The host’s terms and policies also apply. A host may refuse a request or run out of quota; in that case the forecast fails and the credit is refunded.

9. Availability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a specific forecast time or a specific forecast accuracy. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Timestral is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability for a claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Timestral against claims arising from your inputs, your use of the outputs, or your violation of these terms or the rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, fraud, non-payment or a legal requirement. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including payment obligations, disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Timestral’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
